Disney World Continues to Extend Bonus Reservations for Annual Passholders in October

According to the Disney World website, even more Bonus Reservations are being made available for Annual Passholders this October. The Bonus Reservations perk allows Annual Passholders to visit a Disney World theme park without using up one of their allocated Disney Park Pass theme park reservations. As you may know, Disney World Annual Passholders are able to carry anywhere from 3 to 5 theme park reservations at a time. With a Bonus Reservation, Passholders are given a free theme park reservation to a specific theme park on a specific date without needing to pull from their bucket of Disney Park Pass reservations.

Starting in January 2024, Disney World will evolve the concept of Bonus Reservations by creating “Good-to-Go” dates. Unlike a Bonus Reservation which is still a Disney Park Pass reservation, a “Good-to-Go” date will be a date when Annual Passholders can skip the Disney Park Pass reservation system completely and just show up at any Disney World theme park as they wish.

Until then, Disney Park Passes are still required, but Disney World continues to extend the Bonus Reservation perk for Passholders this month. Previously, we covered an earlier wave of Bonus Reservations that ran through October 12th. Now, more Bonus Reservations have been added:

    • October 14th: Hollywood Studios
    • October 15th: Animal Kingdom
    • October 17th: Magic Kingdom
    • October 18th: Hollywood Studios

Typically, a Disney Park Pass theme park reservation has not been difficult to secure for Passholders. Many days we simply make a theme park reservation after we’ve parked at a theme park. They really are quite pointless during the vast majority of the year. That said, we’re getting ready to enter a busier time of year when Disney Park Pass reservations will be more difficult to secure.

We expect to see limited availability during Thanksgiving Week and into the holiday season, so don’t forget to make your theme park reservations early!

Until then, enjoy some Bonus Reservations and even though wait times are starting to tick up after the Disney World slow season, we’re still not near the peak holiday crowds that we expect to see in middle to late November and through early January.
