Good morning from Magic Kingdom where Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has begun morning testing. This is the first time that we’ve seen morning testing for the attraction that opens in just over a month. Starting in June, Cast Member previews will take place over the first week or so before preferred media previews and then Annual Passholder/DVC previews before the attraction opens June 28th.
Morning Testing for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
The flume was filled when Magic Kingdom opened this morning at 9am, and Cast Members were performing checks on the ride before starting the testing. Just over 30 minutes after Magic Kingdom opened, we caught the waterfall being turned on and the first log made it down the 52.5′ foot drop about 10 minutes later. Testing began before 10am, and it is expected to continue throughout the day.
Morning testing is a significant milestone for the attraction that is expected to operate some 12-16 hours per day, every day. The ride layout and type remains the same as Splash Mountain, although we’d imagine that there were some system upgrades during the downtime.
