As the “slow” summer at Walt Disney World continues, Disney has added more Annual Passholder Good-to-Go dates to the calendar in August. Here’s a look at the current lineup of Good-to-Go dates, with the new additions notated.
Upcoming Annual Passholder Good-to-Go Dates
- July 27, 28, 29, 31
- August 4, 6 (NEW), 7 (NEW), 11 (NEW)
The addition of “Good-to-Go” dates indicates that attendance levels of Annual Passholders are expected to be low, and have a negligible impact on the overall crowd levels at the theme parks on that day. In short, a “Good-to-Go” date is a carrot to dangle in front of Passholders, enticing them to come out to the parks.
If a Passholder has an upcoming theme park reservation that becomes a good-to-go day, they will still be able to view their previous reservation in the My Plans section in My Disney Experience, but the reservation will be removed and no longer count against their maximum reservation hold.
As a reminder, Good-to-Go Days are days when Annual Passholders will not be required to make a Disney Park Pass reservation to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks. On all other days, Passholders are required to make reservations if they wish to visit any theme park before 2pm, or Magic Kingdom on the weekends.
That said, we’re not fans of the Good-to-Go Days system, and think it’s quite pointless in its current implementation. It would be much better if Disney World was able to make something like 70-80% of days throughout the year “Good-to-Go” while requiring Park Pass reservations during the busiest few weeks of the year.
