TRON Lightcycle Run has opened a traditional standby queue for the first time ever during normal park operations and Magic Kingdom, and it looks to be a popular rope drop option for many guests this morning. According to the My Disney Experience app, the attraction opened with a 45-minute wait, presumably from guests waiting during the Early Entry period, but quickly shot up to a 105-minute wait within 15 minutes of park opening. The wait time has moderated a bit, settling in at 70 minutes as of 9:30am. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the standby queue wait times as we try to figure out how to work TRON Lightcycle Run into your visit to Magic Kingdom.

Today marks the first time that TRON Lightcycle Run has not used a Virtual Queue during normal park operations since it opened on April 4, 2023. In those 500+ days, the traditional standby queue was only opened during special events.

Going forward, guests will be able to enjoy TRON Lightycle Run during normal park operations and Extended Evening Hours via the standby queue. Guests can also purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass if they’d like to skip the line. As of right now, TRON Lightcycle Run does not participate in the Early Entry perk, but that is always subject to change.

TRON Lightcycle Run is a thrilling, high-speed roller coaster that takes guests through the grid as they race against the menacing Team Orange. The ride is unique in that it uses a bike-style ride vehicle, putting guests in a forward-pitch position to increase the thrill factor.
