Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland & Liberty Square Close Due to Sewage Leak…Again

|

|

Frontierland and Liberty Square are currently partially closed due to a sewage leak in the streets…again. This is the third or fourth leak in Frontierland in as many years at Magic Kingdom. Attractions and shops in the area are closed off as crews worked to contain and clean up the leak. Walt Disney World did not return a request for comment for more information.

Frontierland Sewage Leak

The leak had been contained and drained by the time we showed up this afternoon, but crews were still cleaning the streets in front of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. Those bears can really get up to some… stuff. Frontierland is closed from near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure down to the Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square.

Frontierland will be getting an extensive facelift starting next year when construction begins for the addition of two Cars-themed attractions, taking over the southern portion of the current Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America area. I hope that Disney is able to spare some cash to fix whatever issue is causing Frontierland to continue to leak sewage.
