After riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for the final time until 2026, we were walking through Frontierland when we noticed that a parade float had somehow gotten stuck sideways. The 11:45am Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade performance was modified when one of the floats broke down in Frontierland. Somehow, the float was sideways when we spotted it. We’re not sure how it ended up that way, or if any guests or performers were affected by the malfunctioning float, but it was towed backstage. Here’s a look at the float, along with a video of the parade float being towed backstage.

When we noticed the float, there were a number of Cast Members in the area, both working on the float and directing foot traffic to keep guests clear of the area. Our video of the parade float being towed backstage can be found after the photos.

We saw it happen. The float stopped during the parade. After not getting the float restarted the performers got off and walked the rest of the way, catching up with the first float, which was waiting for them. Then, the tractor came out. The float was turned around and the tractor was hitched to it and towed it back. So, you just came upon it while it was being turned around, in stages.
