According to BlogMickey.com sources, Universal Orlando Resort has extended the Team Member preview of the upcoming Universal Epic Universe. Limited-scope Team Member previews began last month ahead of more widespread Team Member previews that started on March 1st. Now, Universal Orlando Resort has shared that Team Member preview opportunities have been extended. Here’s what we know.
Universal Epic Universe Team Member Previews Extended
Previously, the Team Member preview dates were March 1st through March 7th. It was believed that “friends and family” previews would begin shortly thereafter, but Universal Orlando never announced “friends and family” dates.
In an update to Team Members today, Universal shared that they have extended the Team Member preview through March 14th. In addition to the extra dates, Team Members will have extra tickets as well! Previously, Team Members could obtain one ticket for one of the initial dates. Now, Team Members can secure two additional tickets, increasing their ability to experience Epic Universe up to 3 total visits.
While more opportunities for Team Members to experience Epic Universe is awesome given how limited their access to the park will be following the May 22nd grand opening, it also starts to push back other preview dates. In theory, a friends and family preview period will still follow the Team Member-only preview dates. Then, Annual Passholders and others will likely get a chance to purchase tickets to preview the new park. We expect that preview dates for Annual Passholders will either be very late March or sometime in April.
Early hype for the park is high, with Team Members calling out Dark Universe as a highlight of the Epic Universe experience. That said, attractions are still very much going through a test and adjust period, with a number of effects and attractions not fully operational at this time. That said, this is part of the process.
