Disney Springs is in the process of rounding out their construction projects in The Landing and one of the final projects is The Edison. Slated for a late-2017 opening, The Edison will be a lavish “Industrial Gothic”-style restaurant, bar and nighttime destination that will feature exceptional classic American food, artisanal craft cocktails and unparalleled live entertainment. Let’s take a look at the progress from the air.

Two looks at the rear of the building show that the scaffolding is down and it appears work is complete. The Edison proper is represented by the brickwork building. The neighboring, white-colored building was once announced as a restaurant called “Walt’s”. Disney has since been mum on that portion of the project.

A cropped in photo shows that decorative ramp and entrance are taking shape just over the wall.

To say that we’re excited about the project is an understatement. We expect the venue to be very similar to their sister location in Los Angeles, and a hot spot in Disney Springs once it opens later this year.
