New Book Reveals When the Millennium Falcon Ends Up in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu

StarWars.com gave us a sneak peek at a new book set to be released titled Pirate’s Price. The book is part of the Flight of the Falcon series that follows the famous ship around the galaxy.

As seen in the graphic above, the Millennium Falcon arrives on Batuu after the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. More specifically, it arrives after it leaves the planet of Crait. Crait, as you may remember, is the planet where the showdown between Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren takes place and where the remaining members of The Resistance make an escape from certain doom.

Of course, there are no dates given in the timeline, so we’re not sure exactly how soon after the battle at Crait that the Millennium Falcon arrives on Batuu, but it seems like it takes a direct route to the smuggling outpost.

We can expect to see the infamous pirate Hondo Ohnaka in Batuu when we get to pilot the Falcon during Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

While most of the excerpt is descriptive of a card game being played at the Catina in the Black Spire Outpost, one detail stuck out as a possible clue to some of the story elements we might see in Galaxy’s Edge – the name of a supposedly legitimate shipping business run by Hondo Ohnaka. Ohnaka Transport Solutions is the name of the shipping business run out of the Black Spire Outpost by the infamous pirate and we can only imagine that we will get wrapped up in one of his smuggling operations while piloting the Millennium Falcon.

Hondo apparently came in possession of the Millennium Falcon after he found it in a space port on Galagolos V after crashing his own ship. Presumably, he then added the Millennium Falcon to his fleet of ships for his “business”. The dots will likely be connected for us in Pirate’s Price, available for purchase on January 8th.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios later this year.
