As more news flows out of the D23 Expo, we get our first look at the First Order Battle Escape ride vehicle.

The First Order Fleet Transport is described as a vehicle that is used to traverse the interiors of massive ships. The vehicles carry the troops, officers, and personnel (you?) around the ships. In front of each vehicle is an astromech droid, which is programmed with ship schematics and security access codes.

A look back at the “Wonderful World of Disney” Star Wars Land segment shows guests in the ride vehicle with the astromech droid clearly in the frame behind the ABC logo. Here are some screen shots.
