The Walt Disney World Annual Passholder blockout calendar has been updated to indicate the presence of the new reservation system that will be in use when the theme parks reopen.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the green dates that used to have a “Good to Go” label now have a “Reservations Required” label. Every single date that isn’t blocked out has a “Reservations Required” label through June 2021. It doesn’t look like Disney has changed any of the blockout dates at this time.
Here’s a look at the new “Reservations Required” wording:
As of publish time, the My Disney Experience app has not been updated with the new label wording and still lists dates as “Good to Go”.
This update to the calendar likely signals that we’re getting closer to receiving more details from Disney on how the reservation system will work. That said, we’re less than a month away from the reopening of the most visited theme park complex in the world without any details as to how guests will be able to actually enter the theme parks.
Disney has also not spoken out about how they will handle Annual Pass payments when the parks reopen. Many Annual Passholders have voiced concerns about the value of their Annual Passes under this new theme park reservation system.
