Hurricane Center Names Tropical Storm Laura, Impacts Could Be Felt Early Next Week at Disney World

As we continue to keep an eye on the tropics, the National Hurricane Center has named Tropical Storm Laura out in the Atlantic. The path of the storm has shifted considerably south since our last update, with Central Florida now on the furthest east side of the cone of uncertainty.

That said, the National Hurricane Center is still forecasting the possibility of tropical storm force winds for the Disney World area early next week – likely Monday into Tuesday. If you are planning on visiting Disney World early next week, plan for more rain and winds than usual.

As always, we’ll continue to keep an eye on any impending weather and the impacts to your vacation alongside our normal Disney Parks coverage.
