‘Injun Joe’s Cave’ Sign Removed, Raft Names Painted Over at Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom

The names for the Tom Sawyer Island rafts have been removed at Magic Kingdom, including controversial names such as “Injun Joe”.

Other names such as “Tom Sawyer” and “Becky Thatcher” have also been removed from the rafts.

Here’s a look at the rafts today, with the names painted over.

In addition to the removal of raft names, the sign for Injun Joe’s Cave has also been removed, likely due to Disney’s inclusivity initiative taking place around the company.

Injun Joe’s Cave remains on the map for Tom Sawyer Island.

Disney has not announced any plans for Tom Sawyer Island at this time.
