Friend of the site bioreconstruct recently took to the skies over Walt Disney World and provided some wonderful photos of ongoing construction projects. Earlier this morning, we took a look at “The Pit” in EPCOT, and now we have a look at the TRON Lightcycle Run construction site. Let’s take a look at what we can see in these updated photos!
In this first photo, we can see TRON as it sits next to Space Mountain. The main walkway to TRON Lightcycle Run will be along a pathway that runs next to the Space Mountain gift shop in the lower right side of the image.
Here’s a reverse angle from the photo above. In this photo, we get a better look at the walkway that passes under the canopy and into the southern (left as seen below) side of the building.
Here’s another angle of the construction where we can barely make out the tunnel that will connect the Walt Disney World Railroad track in the bottom middle of the photo to the track that is seen just to the right of Space Mountain in the upper right of the photo below.
A wider overview of Magic Kingdom gives us a better idea of just how heavy the Tomorrowland side of Magic Kingdom is now with TRON Lightcycle Run and Space Mountain right next to each other. There is a lot of land on the west side (right in photo below) of Magic Kingdom that could be used for expansion in the future.
Disney has not announced an opening date, season, or year for TRON Lightcycle Run, but sources indicate that they are pushing for a late 2022 opening.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
The walkway from Tomorrowland to Tron is going to be a complete nightmare.
