As Tropical Storm Nicole makes its way to the Florida peninsula, Disney World has implemented a policy whereby any customary cancellation fees will be waived by The Walt Disney Company. This policy technically falls outside of the Disney World Hurricane Policy, but Disney is looking to offer guests the most flexibility possible as the storm approaches. It’s unclear whether the cancellation fees Disney refers to include dining and special experiences. Here’s the brief statement from Disney:
Guests may reschedule their trip or cancel their stay with us; any customary cancellation fees will be waived.
The change in policy was announced to Travel Agents but does not appear on the Disney World website. Disney World has not announced any theme park closures as of publish time, but there are a number of operational impacts due to the approaching storm.
