Today marks the start of the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts which means that it’s time for Figment overload. The biggest change at this year’s festival is that there won’t be coverage of thousands of people waiting in a multi-hour line to get the chance to purchase the Figment Popcorn Bucket. This year, the line is virtual.
This year, the only way to get your hands on the Figment Popcorn Bucket is via the Mobile Order functionality in the My Disney Experience app. Guests can Mobile Order the Figment Popcorn Bucket as early as 4:30am and choose an arrival window to pick up their bucket from Figment’s Inspiration Station at The Odyssey events pavilion.
Here’s a step-by-step look at how to buy the Figment Popcorn Bucket during the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
First, open the Mobile Order screen by clicking on the ‘+’ button from the home screen and selecting “Order Food”. This might be a little unintuitive because you’re ordering a merchandise item, but Mobile Order is basically Disney World’s virtual queue for restaurants.
From there, you’ll want to scroll down to the EPCOT section of Mobile Order eligible restaurants and find the “EPCOT Souvenir Release” option (below, left). From there, you are presented with the first available pickup window, or you can click on “More Times” to find a more convenient pickup window. From there, you are taken to a screen that typically allows you to select your meal, but in this case you are presented with one option – the Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket (below, middle). After clicking on the popcorn bucket, you will be able to choose a quantity, but note that there is a limit of two popcorn buckets per guest (below, right). Click the “+ Add” button to continue to the checkout screen.
The checkout flow is pretty self-explanatory, but we have included screenshots below anyway. There were no discounts applied to our order and the total with tax is $25, which is the same price as 2022. After you pay, you will be shown your arrival window, which you can modify if you’d like. You’re also given the option to cancel the order.
As noted above, you will pick up your Figment Popcorn Bucket from The Odyssey, which is Figment HQ during the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
