RUMOR: Ariel Meet & Greet to Return to Magic Kingdom Soon

According to BlogMickey.com sources, Disney World is getting ready to bring back Ariel’s Grotto meet and greet in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Disney World just brought back the Pete’s Silly Sideshow meet-and-greet experience this past weekend, and if sources are correct, we should see Ariel’s Grotto reopen either this month or very early in February.

Up until now, Ariel’s Grotto has either been closed, utilized as an extended queue for Journey of the Little Mermaid, or even utilized as a treat trail for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Ariel’s Grotto has been closed since March 2020 when COVID-19 safety protocols led to Disney World temporarily pausing traditional meet and greets. It wouldn’t be until April 2022 that Disney World would bring back the first traditional meet and greets. However, not all meet-and-greet locations have reopened, but that could soon be changing. We don’t have an exact date for the return of the Little Mermaid meet and greet, but its return should be announced shortly.

As with any rumor, you should treat the information in this article as unofficial unless and until Disney confirms it.
