Automated PhotoPass Boxes Installed for Ariel’s Grotto Meet & Greet at Magic Kingdom

The human world is a mess, and unfortunately your photos under the sea won’t be much better thanks to newly installed automated PhotoPass boxes at Ariel’s Grotto. The boxes, which snap photos at regular intervals from a single point of view, replace Disney PhotoPass photographers and, in our opinion, represent a degradation in quality for guests hoping to capture memories of their Walt Disney World visit. Here’s a look at the newly installed automated PhotoPass boxes, which were not activated at the time of our visit.

Guests will tap their MagicBand, MagicMobile-enabled device, or park ticket to the touchpoint upon exiting the meet and greet.

Pete’s Silly Sideshow also recently installed the Automated Disney PhotoPass boxes.

  1. I’m going to say this again, when will they STOP with the damn automated boxes, people hate these and yet Disney being the idiots that they are now, ignored the criticisms of this pile of poo

I’m going to Universal next time, because they don’t have automated photo boxes for their character meet and greets, even though they still refuse to phase out Dora and Diego for good
