Here’s What to Expect Picking Up the Kermit Annual Passholder Magnet

Annual Passholders can now pick up the new Kermit the Frog magnet. We visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier today and wanted to share our experience around noon. Typically, Annual Passholder magnet distributions are at EPCOT or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so we wanted to see what the Hollywood Studios setup would be like.

A Walk Through Kermit Magnet Pickup at Mickey Shorts Theater

IN THIS ARTICLE:

  • Passholders are directed through Mickey Shorts Theater for Kermit magnet pickup and validation
  • The theater’s usual post-show photo op area is stocked with Passholder merch and some Halloween gear
  • The theater is closed to shows for the full run of the magnet distribution window

While Disney was clearly ready of massive lines, there weren’t any when we visited this afternoon. A cast member holding an “Annual Passholder Magnet Distribution” sign points guests toward the theater entrance. Nearby, an A-frame sign spells out the requirements. Every passholder in the party must be present, and each should have a Photo ID and Annual Pass ready before reaching the front.

Another sign close by confirms the theater itself is closed right now. The “Vacation Fun” short featuring Mickey and Minnie is on hold, with a sign reading “Sorry, No Shows Today” propped outside the building. Disney will keep the theater closed to shows for the entire length of the magnet distribution window over the coming weeks. Doing so gives the space a controlled, air-conditioned spot to handle validation without competing against a screening schedule.

Once inside, guests walk along the back row of the theater toward Cast Members stationed on the opposite side. That’s where Cast Members verify the Photo ID and Annual Pass the outdoor signage asks guests to bring.

Exit Through the Gift Shop

The post-show area would normally have some photo ops for guests. Instead, it now hosts a small merchandise area. A few rolling racks hold Walt Disney World Annual Passholder shirts and caps, both in black with the now-familiar yellow and white “annual passholder” wordmark. Nearby shelves stock matching passholder-branded water bottles. Tucked into the same display is a hint of Halloween merchandise, a small early sign of the season ahead.

A Closer Look at the Magnet Itself

We resisted the urge to take the magnet to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets for a photo. Instead, heading to the former Mupepts Courtyard felt more right.

As you may be aware, the former Muppets Courtyard is being transformed into Monstropolis right now.
