Audio Testing Confirms “Universal Celestial Goodnight” Fireworks Show Coming to Epic Universe

Audio testing this morning at Epic Universe confirmed the title of the park’s rumored nighttime show: Universal Celestial Goodnight. A video posted to Twitter captured the audio. It’s the first time that we understand the name has publicly surfaced anywhere outside Universal’s trademark filing. Universal hasn’t officially announced the show (yet), and full details are sure to come later. Here’s what was heard, and how we got here.

FROM TRADEMARK TO LOUDSPEAKER

A video posted to Twitter by Uni_Speaking captured audio testing at Epic Universe. In it, you can hear the name “Universal Celestial Goodnight.” That confirms the name of the rumored nighttime show, which until now lived only inside a trademark application.

There’s a real difference here. A trademark filing tells you a company has effectively reserved a name. Audio playing in the park tells you the name is in active production use. This is the first time we’ve heard it tied to the show in any context beyond a legal document.

Universal has not officially announced the show, and we expect full details to come later. But the name is now real in a way it wasn’t a week ago.

THE STORY SO FAR

Universal Epic Universe does not currently have a nightly fireworks show. Evidence that one is coming has built steadily over the past three months. Here’s how we got here, one milestone at a time.

In March 2026, we reported that Universal completed a permanent fireworks launch site near the Helios Grand Hotel entrance lake, including a control bunker and electrical infrastructure.

Later that month, we tied the launch site to the “Universal Celestial Goodnight” trademark Universal filed on December 15, 2025, and reported the first two job postings for fireworks technicians.

In April, we reported that the Cosmos Fountain had been drained alongside a new permit referencing lighting, DMX control systems, and power and data conduits.

Days later, we spotted a third job posting for a Tech III Show Operator, a role broader than the earlier compound-focused positions.

In May, we reported the first dozen spotlights installed in line with the launch site, captured in aerials from friend of the site Bioreconstruct.

Soon after, we tracked even more spotlights on Epic Universe buildings, with clusters on Oak & Star Tavern, the First Aid building, and the roof of Helios Grand Hotel.

WHAT WE STILL DON’T KNOW

The name is confirmed, but plenty isn’t. Universal has not announced an opening date, show details, or whether fireworks, fountains, drones, or all three will be involved. If Universal opts for all three, we expect that Univesal Celestial Goodnight will be quite the nighttime spectacular, and a compelling reason to visit the new theme park.
