Evidence continues to mount for a new Epic Universe fireworks show. Although unconfirmed and unannounced by Universal, infrastructure work captured by friend of the site Bioreconstruct shows that Universal is preparing for a new nighttime show. Combine that with job postings spotted by BlogMickey.com, and we have a pretty compelling case! Here’s the latest.

We’ll start with a quick recap of where we were before the spotlight installation:

  • In March 2026, we reported that Universal had completed infrastructure for a permanent fireworks launch site near the Universal Helios Grand Hotel entrance lagoon. The site included a control bunker and electrical infrastructure, fueling speculation about a future nightly fireworks show featuring pyrotechnics, drones, and fountains.

  • Later that month, we uncovered job postings for fireworks technicians specifically assigned to Epic Universe. The hiring push appeared to be connected to the recently completed launch site and a trademark filing for “Universal Celestial Goodnight,” believed to be tied to a nighttime entertainment offering.

  • In April 2026, we reported that the Cosmos Fountain in Celestial Park had been drained for new infrastructure work. A newly filed permit referenced lighting installations, DMX control systems, and power/data conduits anchored to the pool base, suggesting upgrades for a large-scale nighttime show with fountains and lighting effects.

Now, new aerial photos from Bioreconstruct reveal that Universal has installed a dozen high-powered spotlights directly in line with the fireworks launch site, as viewed from the park. This would provide a dynamic show element that could even operate in lieu of fireworks should technical issues arise.

Again, Universal has not announced any plans for a new fireworks show, but the evidence is stacking up. Here’s a look at the new spotlights, starting with an view of the central line of the park. The spotlights are at the extreme top of the image, on the other side of a lake that is just northwest of the Helios Grand hotel.
