Universal Celestial Goodnight makes its official debut this evening at Universal Epic Universe, running nightly at park close. The show is staged in Celestial Park, the central hub that anchors the resort’s newest theme park. Universal is billing it as a way for guests to top off a day of thrills before heading home.
Celestial Park Show Inspired by the Portals
Universal Celestial Goodnight transforms Celestial Park into a large-scale show combining nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures. The show contains more than 350 fountains, which Universal describes as larger-than-life. An amazing seven million LED lights also play a part, all set to a high-energy musical score.
Because the show uses the park’s central hub as its stage, the fixtures and fountains are found throughout the sprawling space. That gives guests multiple ways to enjoy the show, rather than a single dedicated viewing area.
The show draws from the worlds behind Celestial Park’s portals. Universal points to the playful fun of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, the soaring excitement of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, the magical adventures of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and the legendary Universal Monsters of Dark Universe as the source material for the show.
Because the show pulls from all four portals, guests can enjoy the IPs that they were surrounded by during their day at Epic Universe. Universal says the experience culminates with a fireworks display.
