Universal Orlando has confirmed the name and opening date for its first nighttime spectacular at Epic Universe. The show pairs dancing fountains and lighting effects with a fireworks finale across the park’s central hub. Universal’s entertainment team built it as a nightly send-off after a full day across the portals. We had tracked the show’s development for months, and now Universal has put a date on it.

  • The Epic Universe lands and characters the show pays tribute to
  • When the show runs and how it fits into your park day

A NIGHTLY SEND-OFF ACROSS CELESTIAL PARK

The show fills the entire Celestial Park hub rather than a single stage or stretch of water. Universal describes a display of dancing fountains, lighting effects, and a fireworks finale that lights up the sky. The result plays out across the park’s open central space, from Luna to Apollo. Universal designed it as the closing moment of a day at Epic Universe, so you’ll catch it after the portals wind down.

A CELEBRATION OF THE WORLDS OF EPIC UNIVERSE

Universal Celestial Goodnight pays tribute to the characters and adventures behind each Epic Universe portal. That includes SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. The legendary Universal Monsters of Dark Universe round out the lineup.

THE SCALE BEHIND THE SPECTACULAR

We’ve been tracking the infrastructure installation, and the numbers are staggering. Universal cites nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures and more than 350 fountains across Celestial Park. Seven million LED lights are embedded throughout the hub. All of it runs to a high-energy musical score, with fireworks closing the night.

WHEN DOES CELESTIAL GOODNIGHT BEGIN?

Universal Celestial Goodnight runs nightly starting Tuesday, July 7. The show caps the park day, so plan your evening around the closing hour at Epic Universe. If you’re building a Universal Orlando trip this summer, you’ll want to keep your last stretch of the day open for Celestial Park.
