Walt Disney World has announced a closing date for Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT ahead of a changeover to a new film. As previously announced, Soarin’ will receive a film update to Soarin’ Across America as part of the 250th Anniversary celebration of the United States of America. Now, we know the closing date for the Around the World version of the ride.

The final day to experience Soarin’ Around the World will be May 13th, with the Soarin’ attraction closed starting May 14th. The attraction will be closed for less than two weeks as Disney performs the transformation into the Soarin’ Across America version of the ride.
Soarin’ Across America will open on May 26th at EPCOT.
The new bi-coastal offering will showcase the United States—from sea to shining sea—highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes. This will be brought to life with the iconic elements that make Soarin’ unforgettable – the flight, the sights and score, even the scents!
In total, there will be more than a dozen breathtaking locations for the new flight, including the Grand Canyon. Disney shared a new photo of the helicopter flight through the Grand Canyon for the new film.
