Disney PhotoPass shared the teaser on social media. The post asks followers, “Can you guess who’s lurking in the shadows of this new Magic Shot coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?” It invites fans to drop their guesses in the comments. Disney says the full reveal is coming next week.

The teaser images show shadows cast across a textured stone wall, set against different lighting colors. The shapes suggest Maleficent and Hades, though Disney has not confirmed the characters.

What We Know So Far

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom on August 7th for the 2026 season. Disney PhotoPass typically rolls out a mix of new and returning Magic Shots each party season. Last year’s lineup included offerings tied to the Haunted Mansion, Oogie Boogie, and other Halloween favorites.

This year’s party has leaned further into a villain presence throughout Magic Kingdom. Disney has teased that guests may encounter new and returning villains appearing in the streets as part of the event’s “surprise and delight” element. A new Magic Shot featuring Maleficent and Hades, if that guess holds up, would fit that same villain-forward direction for the 2026 season.

PhotoPass photographers add Magic Shots to a guest’s photo, typically in-camera or with a digital effect added afterward. A Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day purchase includes access to Magic Shots. We will have another article when PhotoPass announces the full slate of Not-So-Scary Magic Shots.
