Construction went vertical just over a month ago, and pre-fabricated sections of the resort have been installed nearly every day since then. Earlier today, we took a walk around Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to take a look at the latest construction progress. Here are a few vantage points of the construction, from both the grounds of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the monorail.
First, here’s a look at concept art for the new tower, which is expected to open in late 2024.

The tower, which is at it’s tallest point minus decorations on top, is visible from the pool area.

Let’s continue with a closer look at the building.

“Village” must be removed from this resort’s name. Villages don’t typically have skyscrapers.
It’s atrocious!!! Totally ruins the immersion the rest of the resort strives so hard and until now, succeeded in doing.
Progress is ruining Disney.
The group in charge right now at Disney are making poor decisions.
