BouTiki Gift Shop Partially Reopens With Updated Flooring, Refurbishment Wrapping Up Soon

The BouTiki gift shop at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has partially reopened following refurbishment. According to Cast Members that we spoke with, the flooring was updated during the closure, but nothing else was touched. With a majority of the gift shop now reopened, work shifts to the other side of the gift shop. All work is expected to be completed very shortly. Here’s a look around during our visit to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort earlier today!

BouTiki Gift Shop New Flooring

The new flooring offers a more natural wood grain look versus the old style that looked more like individual planks, offering a stark contrast between pieces. The new look flows better.

Here’s a before/after of the change in flooring style.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the carpet made it through the refurbishment. We’ve seen Disney ripping out carpet just about everywhere during refurbishments, so the fact that this carpet made the cut is somewhat surprising.
