Maintenance Underway at BouTiki Gift Shop in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Half of the BouTiki gift shop at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is now closed. An official message from Disney says that the closure is due to maintenance, not refurbishment, which is a little bit out of the ordinary. It’s possible that the work was unplanned. We made it out to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort recently to take a look at the closure and what you can expect if you’re visiting this month.

Half of BouTiki Gift Shop Closed

Starting June 2, 2025, BouTiki at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will undergo maintenance, during which half of the store will be closed, while the other half will remain open. Please be aware that maintenance may be seen and heard in the area until the work is complete at the end of June.
Walt Disney World

Perhaps lending a bit of credibility to the theory that the work was somewhat unplanned is the construction walls that remind me more of an airport construction project than anything that I’m used to seeing at Walt Disney World.
