TRON Lightcycle Run is now in its third day of soft opening and while the hours have been extended for the attraction, it’s still difficult to secure a free Boarding Group to ride. Like in previous days, the Virtual Queue filled in seconds for the 7am drop. That said, if you want to buy your way onto TRON Lightcycle Run, it is getting easier to do so.
According to data from thrill-data, the ability to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for TRON Lightcycle Run sold out in 42 minutes this morning. That is up from a 25-minute sellout yesterday and roughly 3 minutes of availability on day one.
While availability to buy your way onto the ride via an Individual Lightning Lane purchase is certainly getting easier, availability is still not lasting long enough for non-Resort guests to purchase. As a reminder, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort get access to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes at 7am, while non-Resort guests have to wait until the park opens to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes. That means that while today’s 42 minutes of availability is encouraging in ease of access, we’d need availability to last for more than 2 hours for the average guest to get a shot at purchasing their way onto TRON Lightcycle Run.
Of course, random availability does pop up during the day, but it is gone in the blink of an eye and you really have to be watching your phone closely to grab an Individual Lightning Lane beyond the initial sellout period, but it is possible.
