Michael Sasso Resigns From Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board of Supervisors

Vice Chair Michael Sasso has resigned from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board of Supervisors. Sasso’s term was through February 26, 2027 and did not attend the May 24th Board of Supervisors meeting. Sasso was in attendance at the May 10th meeting. No reason was given for his resignation, but his wife Meredith Sasso was appointed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Supreme Court on May 23rd.

Greg Angel of Spectrum News 13 reported on the resignation this evening.

  1. Disney never should have gotten involved in politics it’s a dirty game on both sides and there just not up to it just play fair just like the rest of the parks there not special

    • Tell me, what is the difference between Disney’s special district and Universal’s?

      Other than giving them the ability to build a nuclear power plant, there is not very much difference. Considering Disney pays an overwhelming amount of taxes, in fact more than they are required. And Universal actually offsets their taxes by paying to upkeep their roads, Universal is not exactly playing “fair”.

      But, we all know this isn’t about playing fair. It is about punishing anyone who opposes DeSantis’ far right agenda to weaponize the government against LGBTQ and minorities.
