In-Park Wristband Distribution Locations for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (And The One to Avoid)

For guests who have a day ticket, park hopper, or Annual Pass on the date of their Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party event night, there is an option to skip the (often) large wait at the front gate of Magic Kingdom and get your wristband inside the park. In this article, we’ll take a look at the multiple in-park wristband distribution areas and offer some advice on which location to avoid!

We’ll start with some of the basics that apply to all three in-park wristband distribution areas. First, they all open at or around 4pm. Guests can start to line up once the queues are installed, but if you play your cards right, you shouldn’t have to wait long and all three locations beat having to wait at the main gate to Magic Kingdom.

When checking in at a wristband distribution area, make sure that you have your event ticket ready in the form of a physical ticket or a digital ticket using the MagicMobile option for watches and phones. When you check-in, you will be given an event trick-or-treat bag with an event guide map and large M&M’s candy already inside. Of course, you will also receive your event wristband at check-in.

With the basics of check-in out of the way, let’s take a look at the different locations that offer in-park wristband distribution for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Fantasy Faire (Near Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Fantasyland)

The first distribution location that we’ll take a look at is the Fantasy Faire location near Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland. We used this location for our rope drop plans to meet the Seven Dwarfs during the first party, and it’s a solid option for a head start if you have a plan to meet either the Seven Dwarfs or the popular Winnie the Pooh & friends.

We would consider this the middle of the three locations in terms of popularity and you can expect around a 5-10 minute wait when the location first opens.

Tortuga Tavern (Near Pirates of the Caribbean, Adventureland)

Guests who find themselves over in Adventureland can head to the Tortuga Tavern wristband distribution location across from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. In terms of rope drop usefulness, this is the least advantageous location but does offer the lowest waits of typically less than 5 minutes and is a good option even if you have a longer walk to some of the most popular meet & greet locations.

Former Stitch’s Great Escape (Near Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Tomorrowland)

By far the most popular wristband distribution location for the 2023 parties is the Tomorrowland distribution area located across from Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor at an outdoor queue area near the former Stitch’s Great Escape attraction. Large crowds were overflowing into the walkways of Tomorrowland during the most recent party (August 25th) and wristband distribution actually began 5-10 minutes early likely due to the large crowds.

Unless you find a super short line, we’d recommend skipping this location, even with the possibility of an early start for distribution. The Tomorrowland wristband distribution location is, by far, the most popular spot.
