DREAMPORT Tunnel Modified to Prevent More Figment Falls at EPCOT

Following an eventful debut that saw Figment fall at least twice in the previous two days, Disney World has modified the DREAMPORT tunnel to eliminate some of the tripping hazards that existed for years.

As you can see in our photo below, the theming that ran up the sides of the tunnel was previously unprotected at the bottom, leading Figment to stub his toe and fall a couple of times already. The tunnel, while a fun bit of theming, has proven difficult for characters in the past. Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph also found himself stubbing a toe, but on the outside of the tunnel, leading to a few falls as well.

Now, Disney World has added a running board of sorts with some high-vis tape to create an easier environment for Figment to traverse.

And here’s a look at Figment confidently walking through the tunnel this afternoon to about a 60-minute wait following a 30-minute break.
