The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is underway, and guests who make it to sunset will be treated to multiple Spaceship Earth light shows starting around 10 minutes after sunset. In total, there are currently four Spaceship Earth Points of Light shows playing after dark, including two fan-favorite shows from previous Festival of the Arts events.
New this year is the view from the World Celebration Gardens, which opened in December 2023. While the Gardens aren’t being used during the daytime for any Festival activities, Disney Entertainment has programmed the lighting in the area to the old shows, breathing some life into the central Gardens area.
“Rainbow Connection” Muppets Spaceship Earth Show
Debuting back in 2022, the “Rainbow Connection” Muppets show returns this year, with fully programmed lighting in World Celebration Gardens. Here’s our view from last night, followed by the view from in front of Spaceship Earth from 2022.
“One Little Spark” Figment Spaceship Earth Show
Another returning favorite is 2023’s “One Little Spark” Figment Spaceship Earth light show. Again, Disney has programmed the World Celebration Gardens lighting for the show, and we have video from last night followed by opening night video from 2023 as well!
In addition to the shows above, the EPCOT Anthem show also plays in rotation. Disney World also brought back the EPCOT 40th Anniversary show too, but there were no programmable lighting effects in the World Celebration Gardens during last night’s show.
