In an update to the VoteDisney website, Disney CEO Bob Iger has a message for shareholders ahead of the proxy battle set to culminate at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders. In the video, Iger acknowledges some of the struggles Disney has had but says that he believes the company is positioned well for the future.
Iger says that the proxy battles “are exactly what we don’t need”. Iger urges shareholders to vote for the Disney nominees at the upcoming meeting, and says that “your vote this year is so important to Disney’s future”.
