Tomorrow, two new shows will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Well, really, one reimagined show and a new show. As part of the kick-off for Cool Kid Summer at Walt Disney World, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After will officially debut. The two shows are “permanent” installations, and not part of the limited-time Cool Kid Summer, but they do coincide with the start of the limited-time Summer event.
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure Runtime
Walt Disney World has announced that The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure will be 18 minutes long. The show will run continuously throughout the day, with no specific showtimes posted. That said, guests can expect the show to begin showtimes shortly after Hollywood Studios opens for the day, running until the 7pm hour.
Watch as Ariel follows her dreams to be part of the human world. This little mermaid’s adventure is brimming with familiar moments—like encounters with King Triton and Ursula—and stirring scenes.
Throughout Ariel’s journey, get swept away by moving musical numbers like “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “Kiss the Girl” and more!
This fin-tastic tale is enhanced with stunning set pieces and cutting-edge effects that capture Ariel’s imagination and emotions.
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After Runtime
The “true” new show debuting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. This show takes place in the Sunset Showcase building near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster on Sunset Boulevard. Just like The Little Mermaid, Unfairly Ever After officially debuts on May 27th to kick off Summer at Walt Disney World.
The official runtime of the show is 18 minutes – the same as A Musical Adventure. Unlike The Little Mermaid, Unfairly Ever After does have showtimes. Shows begin at 10am and run through 7pm, sometimes at a cadence of one show every 30 minutes.
Enter the realm of the Magic Mirror—where dozens of villains are trapped! They want the Mirror to reveal the truth: which villain has been treated the most unfairly of them all?
Watch as Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent present their cases on stage, persuading with wicked wisdom and wisecracks. Will you be swayed by their hijinks and humor?
It’s a spellbinding show with moving music and a most memorable finale—where you help decide who has been treated most unfairly.
Walt Disney World previously published a 40-minute runtime for Unfairly Ever After, but that runtime was published in error. The official runtime is 18 minutes.
