Yesterday, guests visiting EPCOT had the opportunity to vote on one of two America’s Funniest Videos finalist videos. There were three voting sessions, and we were able to partake in one of the sessions during our visit to EPCOT.

Voting took place at the World Showplace event tent, between Canada and the United Kingdom. Voting was at 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm, lasting roughly 10 minutes long.

Inside, there is room for more than 100 guests to watch and vote on videos. Cast Members told guests it was ok to take photos of the room, but that there were no photos allowed of the two videos we were voting on, and no photos allowed of the ballots. Guests simply selected a checkbox next to the video that they thought was the funniest.

For their time, guests were given a free America’s Funniest Home Videos t-shirt at the conclusion of the 10-minute experience.

In terms of the actual experience, guests were free to choose a seat when they arrived and some highlight videos were playing on the screens until the posted voting time. After a short introduction from an AFV employee and a pre-recorded video from AFV host Alfonso Ribeiro, guests were shown two videos and asked to pick the one they thought was the funniest.

The videos are previous AFV-winning submissions that are in a grand prize battle. The grand prize is a vacation at a Disney Vacation Club Resort for up to 6 people. The winners will be able to select a Disney Vacation Club property to vacation at in Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or Aulani in Hawaii.
