More than a year and a half after the project began, work is still underway for an expansion project at Woody’s Lunch Box. While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently, we noticed that work related to the project has been extended across the exit walkway for Toy Story Mania. Here’s a look around.
First, here’s a look at the work as seen from the exit walkway. The work appears to be related to underground utilities as there is a cover across the walkway.
A reverse-angle look at the walkway shows the Woody’s Lunch Box expansion building on the right, and the pathway work on the left. It’s believed that the new building, which is themed to a Cowboy Cookout set, is for extra kitchen space.
Woody’s Lunch Box remains a very popular dining option and is one of the only Mobile Order options that rather consistently has a wait time before you can pick up your food. It’s possible that the expanded kitchen area will assist with the speed of food delivery. Work on a covered dining area has stalled for years, but will hopefully be finished sometime this year.
