The Hall of Presidents is now closed at Magic Kingdom for refurbishment. According to Walt Disney World, the attraction will reopen later this year, but not much more is known right now. Officially, Disney has only said that the attraction is closing on January 20th and reopening later this year. As of publish time, there have been no statements about the future of the attraction, although it is assumed by many that Donald Trump will be moved front and center to deliver the Presidential Oath of Office, at a minimum. That said, there may be a clue that Disney is getting ready to break from tradition.

Signage Offers Hint for Future of The Hall of Presidents
We visited Magic Kingdom this morning to grab some photos of the closed attraction. While we’ve asked Disney multiple times for information about the future of the attraction, we have not received a response yet. That said, the signage in front of the attraction may offer a hint of what the future holds for the 1971 opening-day attraction.
The past two election cycles (at a minimum), have said that the attraction is closed and “currently being prepared to welcome the new President”. Here’s a look at signage from 2021 and 2017.

While visiting Magic Kingdom this morning, we stopped by The Hall of Presidents and noticed that the signage does not include the wording that the attraction is closed to welcome the new President. Could Disney be breaking tradition this cycle and changing the format of the attraction? Without a statement from Disney, we can only pick up clues from what we can observe, and this new sign does not say that the attraction is being prepared to welcome the new President, Donald Trump. Here’s a look at the signage change!

Or, and this is crazy but hear me out, Trump isn’t a new President so the traditional sign would be inappropriate…
This is a fine way of showing how political Disney is with the current President. Trump did win $15 million from Disney to be donated to Trump’s Presidential Library. Disney should be careful in its next steps.
