Disney Officially Breaks Ground on Tropical Americas Land Replacing DinoLand USA

Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a look at the official groundbreaking of the Tropical Americas-themed land set to replace DinoLand USA. The first section of DinoLand USA closed this past weekend, with more phased closures planned before the Tropical Americas-themed land debuts in 2027.

The Tropical Americas project team kicked off the official start of construction this morning with a groundbreaking at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The new Tropical Americas land will feature an all-new attraction themed to Encanto, a retheme of the DINOSAUR attraction into an original Indiana Jones ride, and a carousel. There will also be shopping and dining in the land.
