Crane Arrives on Tropical Americas Site for Encanto Attraction Construction

|

Good morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom where a crane has arrived on the Tropical Americas construction site. The area under construction right now is for the Encanto-themed attraction. While we’ve mostly observed land clearing and preparation up until this point, the arrival of a crane could indicate that construction is turning a corner as we count down to the 2027 deadline.

Crane Arrives at Tropical Americas Construction Site

Believe it or not, the crane is actually visible from the Disney’s Hollywood Studios parking lot some 2 miles away, which is where I first spotted it this morning. After covering the debut of an exclusive preview of the upcoming Elio film, it was time to make my way over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Once inside the park, the crane was visible from just outside of DinoLand USA. As we got closer, it became clear that the crane was on the back half of the construction site. Aerial photos from May have shown some materials staged back in this part of the site.
