Earth Eats Booth Review – 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

Making its return this year is the Earth Eats Global Marketplace near Port of Entry along the Imagination Pavilion walkway. Here’s our Earth Eats booth review from the 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.

The Impossible Burger Slider – $6.00

Served with Wasabi Cream and Spicy Slaw on a Sesame Seed Bun (plant-based)

    Rating: 3 out of 5.

First up is a returning item that we’re actually glad we tried this year. Not because it was good, unfortunately, but because it was bad and we can advise you to steer clear. The Impossible Burger has historically been a wonderful festival option and one that we’ve enjoyed for a few years now…until this year.

This year, the Impossible Burger was drenched in wasabi, which overpowered the entire slider. Other elements were good, we imagine, but the wasabi stole the show in the worst way possible. We’re going to stick with a middle-of-the-road rating here because you might enjoy wasabi more than us (or, hopefully, we just had a bad slider), but be cautious when getting the Impossible Burger Slider.

    Impossible Meatball (NEW 2022) – $5.75

Served with Herbed Polenta, Rustic Puttanesca Sauce and Basil Pesto (plant-based)

    Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

New to 2022 is the Impossible Meatball. Served on a bed of polenta, the meatballs were cooked well and a combination of the rustic puttanesca sauce and basil pesto provided a burst of flavor. These are a solid offering that we enjoyed but weren’t wowed by.

    Beverages

    • Strawberry Freeze featuring Twinings® Lemon & Ginger Herbal Tea (non-alcoholic) – $4.50
    • Stephen Vincent Pinot Noir, California – $6.00
    • Strawberry Freeze featuring Twinings Lemon & Ginger Herbal Tea with Ketel One Botanical Cucumber & Mint Vodka – $11.00

Earth Eats is floundering a bit this year and the menu doesn’t meet the moment for their featured location. We’ve seen various presentations of both of these dishes, so there seems to be some inconsistency that might bump both ratings up if you get lucky. We are big fans of IMPOSSIBLE and hope that some of the small things can be fixed. As for our experience, we were a little disappointed.
