The Honey Bee-stro Outdoor Kitchen Review – 2022 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival

The 2022 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is underway, and as part of our coverage, we’re going to review the Outdoor Kitchens (food booths). Here’s our The Honey Bee-stro Outdoor Kitchen Review.

The Honey Bee-stro is a returning Outdoor Kitchen and is located in World Showcase near Travelers Cafe.

Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon Bread – $5.00

Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon Bread with jalapeños, bacon, and house-made whipped honey butter (Gluten/ Wheat Friendly)

    Rating: 3 out of 5.

This earns middle-of-the-road status just because of how different it is. At its core, its a cornbread. There is some assistance from the jalapenos, but the house-made shipped honey butter fell short for us and the offering didn’t get far enough away from a cornbread flavor to wow us. Maybe you’ll like it, but there are certainly stronger offerings at The Honey Bee-stro.

    Lavender Honey Mustard-marinated Chicken Flatbread – $6.00

Lavender Honey Mustard-marinated Chicken Flatbread with whipped honey-ricotta cheese, marinated vegetables, and goat cheese

    Rating: 5 out of 5.

A flatbread is generally a rather unimaginative item, but this may be the best flatbread currently being sold at Walt Disney World. The chicken is unbelievably good as a result of the lavender honey mustard, but the combination of whipped honey ricotta cheese and goat cheese makes this an item that we’ll continue to return for. The portion is also impressive, especially at a $6 price tag.

    Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake – $5.00

Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake with orange blossom honey whipped cream, whipped honey, crystalized honey, honeycomb, dehydrated honey, and fennel pollen meringue kisses

    Rating: 5 out of 5.

At the risk of introducing a 6th star, we can’t recommend this dish highly enough. There is a light honey flavor that persists throughout the dessert, with a dollop of honeycomb on the plate should you require a stronger flavor. This is a real winner and you could probably head home after a flatbread/cheesecake combo.
