It was just over a month ago that we saw the first hints of work for the new entrance to Toy Story Land begin, but today we have a look at the first bits of demolition being done on the former soundstage walkway.
First, let’s take a look at the walkway in question. This photo was taken May 17th.
The area has seen the introduction of more scrims as seen in this May 23rd photo.
Our flight over Hollywood Studios yesterday revealed that demolition has begun on the walkway that was used on the extended Backlot Tour attraction in the early days of the park.
The large show building seen to the right of the walkway is the Toy Story Midway Mania building. You can see that a section of the walkway has been removed.
This area is the rumored entrance to Toy Story Land when it opens in 2018.

I know that the studio tour attraction closed years ago. It’s still sad to see the small remaining parts being taken down. But its move to see the area being used again
