We recently had the opportunity to fly over Disney’s Hollywood Studios and take a look at the progress on Toy Story Land.
A look at the land as a whole shows that most of the work up until this point has been getting the track in place for the new roller coaster, Slinky Dog Dash.
It looks like upwards of 70% of the track is in place. Work has also started on pathways around the roller coaster structure.
This section to the south remains to be completed.
Here’s a look at a portion of the Slinky Dog Dash show building and what appears to be a pathway that will allow guests to walk over the track as they approach the entrance.
Shifting our attention to the neighboring structure, we can see the slide plates are in place for Alien Swirling Saucers.
Zooming out a little bit shows what will likely be the entrance to the show building for the attraction.
Finally, we can see that another structure is rising from the dirt. This building is supposed to house a snack area and restrooms in the new land.
Toy Story Land is expected to open in 2018.
Be sure to check back tomorrow as we continue our aerial tour with a look at Star Wars Land.
Great photos Mike. Thanks for the update.
