PHOTOS: Tron Roller Coaster Construction Site Prep Nearly Complete at Magic Kingdom

As we slowly make our way to the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World in October 2021, Disney is wasting little time clearing nearly 8 acres of trees to prepare for a new Tron Roller Coaster. With almost 90% of the trees cleared, Disney will likely clear the entire plot of land in about a month.

A temporary tent is now on site and concrete barricades have been placed along the perimeter of the pond that falls within the construction site.

Space Mountain can be seen through the few trees that remain. A look at the concept art shows that the Tron Roller Coaster will sit next to Space Mountain.

Here’s a look at the total amount of land impacted by the construction.

The new Tron Roller Coaster will likely debut at Magic Kingdom in Summer 2021.
