The iconic mirrored tile has been removed from the Universe of Energy pavilion. In order to make way for a new facade for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster, crews have removed the last of the mirrored tiles recently. Tile removal started weeks ago, and the last of the tiles to be removed were from the center theming element behind the sign.
You can see the roller coaster gravity building to the northeast of the Universe of Energy.
The Guardians of the Galaxy-themed roller coaster will open at Epcot by 2021.
