Is it really worth a blog post to report that shrubs have been taken down? Yes, yes it is. It’s been 15 years since we’ve had a view like this of the Chinese Theater in Hollywood Studios. In 2001 the park was still named Disney-MGM Studios. There was no Toy Story Midway Mania. Animal Kingdom was barely 3 years old. It’s been a while and it’s great to see an original view of the Chinese Theater!

Also, the globe for Osborne Lights has been moved from the u-turn area for the old Backlot Tour. It’s now located near the library about halfway down the Streets of America.
Update: I’ve been told that is in this location just for assembly.
The light canopy is also being constructed. The Osborne Lights run from November 6th – January 3rd.
We can see the lifts Disney uses to hang the lights in storage backstage from the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show stands.
Catastrophe Canyon looks to be unchanged since the Backlot Tour shut down late last year.

It also looks like prep work is being done near the old Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow/One Man’s Dream building. The canopy that used to cover an exterior queue has been taken down. It’ll be fun watching Hollywood Studios transform over the coming years.
