The Discovery Rivers Amphitheatre is being used as a D-Zone (Disney’s term for a relaxation area) of sorts for the time being to give crowds at Animal Kingdom additional seating options.

Of course, being able to roam the theater during the day gives us a better chance to appreciate the detailing.

Both boats used during the upcoming Rivers of Light nighttime show are docked at the end of each of the seating areas. Technicians were working on the other boat at the time that we walked through.

Part of the theater is being used as stroller parking for Finding Nemo The Musical.

Disney has yet to announce a date for Rivers of Light opening. We have a review from the first Cast Member preview.
