Coronado Springs Reopening Delayed to October 16

Originally scheduled to reopen on October 14th, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will now open on October 16th according to an update on the Disney World website.

Coronado Springs and the new Gran Destino Tower played host to the NBA teams with the best record entering the “bubble” experiment back in July. As it worked out, both the Miami Heat and LA Lakers were staying at the resort through the NBA Finals, which just concluded. It’s possible that the two day delay in reopening is just to allow Disney some extra time to prepare the resort.
