Gideon’s Bakehouse Review at Disney Springs

Gideon’s Bakehouse has soft opened this morning at Disney Springs and we were out bright and early to check out the new space and offerings!

Gideon’s Bakehouse is a unique addition to Disney Springs in their commitment to detailed theming. The space is very much a grab and go situation though, with no indoor seating. Here’s a look around the space, with a dedication to Gothic theming.

Without further adieu, let’s take a bite of these cookies. Here’s a look at the menu, but everything we tried today was $6.

We’ll start with the original chocolate chip cookie. There’s definitely a reason why it’s the original and their best seller. The cookie takes the softness and richness found in all their cookies is taken to another level here in a classic chocolate chip cookie.

Next up is the Cookies and Cream cookie. Pulverized oreo are spread across the full face of the cookie and it is the dominant flavor.

We find ourselves taking on the Triple Chocolate cookie next. This is chocolate through and through. Rich and soft, the cookie is even crafted with a chocolate dough for an attack of chocolaty goodness.

We’ll detour for a moment and try both of the holiday specialty cookies. First up is Santa’s White Christmas. White chocolate chips and some edible glitter adorn the top of the cookie that has vanilla and nutty flavors.

Next is the Cookie Vom Krampus. Mint joins chocolate chips for a sweet and salty combo. If you’ve ever had an Olive Garden chocolate piece at the end of your meal, this is the exact flavor of that.

Finally, we find ourselves with the delicious “morning exclusive” Coffee Cake Cookie. This is only offered in the morning and as supplies last. If you find yourself in the Disney Springs area in the morning, this is a solid choice and is a perfect representation of a coffee cake.

To round out our review, we’ll talk briefly about the iced coffee, which is $6.

We’ll start with their Original Peanut Butter Iced Coffee. Fans of peanut butter flavor will enjoy this drink. It’s a refreshing and light take on iced coffee and pairs well with the coffee cake cookie.

A more traditional route is available in the Classic White Cold Brew. It’s maybe not as bold as the Peanut Butter Iced Coffee, but it’s still enjoyable.

Overall, Gideon’s Bakehouse is a unique and fun addition to Disney Springs. We expect that this location will have long lines for quite some time as the interior really is just as amazing as the cookies. We didn’t really think that we needed Gideon’s Bakehouse until it arrived! There is a strong lineup of dessert locations at Disney Springs, but we’d put Gideon’s Bakehouse up at the top if you are looking for a sweet way to finish your day at Disney Springs.
